i do not recommend cloverfield. i do not recommend quarantine. take them out of your netflix queue. they both prove that first person filmmaking is nearly impossible to pull off. dear film school students: it didn’t work for blair witch; it won’t work for you.

i do highly recommend seeing milk in the theatre. an iconic performance by sean penn and a masterful tone set by gus van sant catapult this film into my all-time favorites list.
