so, i did nine straight hours of final exams yesterday, and now i’m finally finished with my freshman year at columbia. actually, since those fags like to be so pc, i’m finally finished with my status as first year student. it’s such a weird feeling to know that i won’t be taking the one hour trek to the upper west side anymore. i’m extremely relieved, but i have a new anxiety to tackle now. i’m starting my foray into the new york dining industry tomorrow. i got a waiting job at a restaurant in chelsea called trestle. i don’t know, it could be lucrative. it’s a cute little place with mildly pricey dishes and many different wines and beers, so if you want to take someone out for a nice dinner, come see me. the other day, i saw my friend formika on third avenue. as i did the double take and walked back, i stepped on a rolled up rug on the street. he was like, “you just stepped on someone.” “what?” “there’s someone in the rug.” i look back and we stare at it for a minute and i see it shift slightly. i was like, “WHAT THE FUCK.” and he said “it’s some guy who gets off on people stepping on him, i wonder if that’s the guy who used to come to boysroom all the time” (boysoom is where i work on saturdays … so we watch, and he bets that everyone will step on the guy without noticing…and they all do! i watch like 50 people…some of them step on him, some of them hop over him, but no one realizes that he is in there. it was INSANE. anyway. that’s my crazy story of the week. despite finals, it’s been a fantastic week. i’ve walked around and soaked up the sun all over chelsea. it’s a strange little gay bubble, but it’s really nice. it beats sitting at home in front of the tv, watching oprah and trailers for that awful looking georgia rule movie–which, you know, i love felicity huffman, but it looks disgusting. i’ll let you know how the job goes. ps - oh really, kirk cameron? pps - ohio legislator calls for barring republicans from adopting: this is AMAZING. the democrat drafted this bill in response to a bill sponsored by a state republican calling for the barring of gay adoption.
