I can always wear a hat until my bangs reach my eyes. filed under: misc | comments: 5 comments |
I got a haircut today. I want it to my eyes, but since it was asymmetrical, it has to grow for a few weeks. Thus, I look 12! Yay.

Today, I got my ass waxed for the very first time. It was free, it was painful, and the end result is gorgeous. Oh, and I got my stomach waxed, too, and I must say that it somehow hurts more to get waxed on your back than on all fours. Something about the fact that your legs can kick up, I think. I felt like I couldn’t keep myself down as the hair was ripped from my abdomen. But once again, the end result is gorgeous. As a fag, it was so interesting to have my hole up in the air and at the mercy of a girl. I think something about that irony was vaguely and foreignly erotic. – I am very much happy to be back in New York City. I wanted to write so much, but I took three Tylenol PM capsules to calm my brain, which is exploding out of my head, so it’s nap time. 12 hour nap time. – PS - I just applied for another job at Columbia that would give me tuition exemption, this time as a librarian. Wish me luck! filed under: misc | comments: 5 comments |
I saw Little Miss Sunshine again, this time in a Charlotte preview screening (it hasn’t rolled out here yet), and I just have to reiterate the fact that anyone who needs a good 101 minutes of straight laughter–well, close to straight laughter–should check it out. Both times I’ve seen it, it received a rousing ovation. No matter what brand of humor you usually enjoy, you’ll almost definitely crack up at many points in the film; the crowd at this screening wasn’t exactly the most refined group in the world. It has a lot of heart, and that’s what’s been missing in cinema recently. Take a friend; you won’t regret it. Little Miss Sunshine (trailer) – My North Carolina trip is coming to a close. I leave for New York tomorrow evening, and I feel thoroughly refreshed and ready to take on life. I accomplished both of my goals: relax as much as humanly possible before the rush of school starts, and convince my parents to let me use their credit to take out a loan for my freshman year. I will be bringing back with me a check for $11,396 for the fall semester. I love school, but I hate tuition charges. It’s OK, though; I’m meant to do big things with my life, and I’m just going to view this as a…start-up cost. filed under: misc | comments: 1 comment |
